Welcome to the Figueroa's immigration ordeal!!!

Canada has been known for many years for its tradition to offer protection to people who have been forced to seek protection against persecution and danger in their homeland! The Figueroa Family is being affected by the immigration laws that have been adopted, by Section 34.1 of the I.R.P.A. to be specific.

This blog has been created with the objective to become a link among the community who still believe in Canada's Tradition and search for alternatives that would allow to make a difference for the defense of individual rights!

We thank you before hand for your opinion and suggestions so that a solution is found!

In behalf of the Figueroa Family and many others whose rights are being affected ... Thanks for your Support!

We are Jose!

Ottawa here we go!!

I would be lying if I told you that the deportation has not affected us emotionally, physically, economically... Some times it seems as if it is about to drag us down the our knees... yet when I lift up my face and see my two daughters playing around and my son asks questions for a homework.  I realize that the effort to stand for their rights is worth the sacrifice and that refuels me on daily basis...

On Friday March 18th 2011, my son and I will initiate Tour to Ottawa, with the objective to deliver a letter to Prime Minister Stephen Harper to ask him for his intervention on this matter and to stand besides our family in our effort to uphold the rights of 3 Canadian children and the rights of a whole community.  We also will be delivering a letter to the Minister of Public Safety,Vic Toews, and the Minister of Immigration Jason Kenney; both ministers have pending decisions to be made in order to put some remedy to this situation....(the ministerial relief application and the application based on Humanitarian and Compassionate Grounds )...

As a Salvadoran I have the right to seek that the Government of El Salvador plays an active role in protecting the rights of my family, so while in Ottawa we will also deliver a letter at the Embassy of El Salvador in Ottawa  addressed to the President of El Salvador Mauricio Funes. so that he instructs the diplomatic representation to seek alternatives to solve the issue with the Canadian Government since the allegations that brought the deportation order refers or make mention of the FMLN (the political party he ran as the presidential candidate).

So on March 18th we will initiate this trip to Ottawa, even if it means that my son and I would have to stand on the side of the road for a ride from city to city...  We are asking the community for their support on this effort to bring finally some peace to our family...
