This cartoons you will be watching are an effort to communicate with people concerning the facts around the deportation order issued by Immigration against Jose Figueroa. This deportation order is affecting the life not only of Jose Figueroa but the life of his wife and children. There are many logical questions that need to be considered:
1. Did the Adjudicator who decided to issue the deportation order failed to consider the individual rights of every member of the Figueroa Family, if he did how did he fail to observe those rights?
The answer to the previous question is a "YES"; the adjudicator failed to observe the individual rights of every member of the family. Let's start with the children: They all are Canadians since they all were born in Canada and as such they their rights as citizens need to be upheld. Also international conventions confers the children special rights through the International Convention on the Rights of the Children, specially the right to have the protection and care of his or her parents.
The Universal Declaration of Human Rights, confers to every member of the Family to be seen as individuals, it is looking at human beings as the means to certain end with that it is at odds with a categorical imperative.
There are more questions to be asked about this.... We hope that you could join us in the quest to find those questions and more importantly the answers to those questions...
