Canada has been known for many years for its tradition to offer protection to people who have been forced to seek protection against persecution and danger in their homeland! The Figueroa Family is being affected by the immigration laws that have been adopted, by Section 34.1 of the I.R.P.A. to be specific.
This blog has been created with the objective to become a link among the community who still believe in Canada's Tradition and search for alternatives that would allow to make a difference for the defense of individual rights!

Show your Solidarity
Section 15 of the Canadian Charter of Rights.
15.(1) Every individual is equal before and under the law and the right to equal protection and equal benefit of the law without discrimination based on race, national, or ethnic origin, colour, religion, sex, age or mental or physical disability.
On this section when it says "every individual" it includes any human being. This idea is confirmed later on when specifically mentions without discrimination based on race, national, or ethnic origin...
Bill C-31 that has been introduced recently to the parliament introduces concepts that stress the already included discriminative concepts in the current IRPA. Refugees have not the same rights as a permanent resident, and now even permanent residents would not have the same rights as an immigrant who already have a citizen status!
Get engaged, know about the law, discuss how it will impact the core values for Canadians... The information is out there...
