Welcome to the Figueroa's immigration ordeal!!!

Canada has been known for many years for its tradition to offer protection to people who have been forced to seek protection against persecution and danger in their homeland! The Figueroa Family is being affected by the immigration laws that have been adopted, by Section 34.1 of the I.R.P.A. to be specific.

This blog has been created with the objective to become a link among the community who still believe in Canada's Tradition and search for alternatives that would allow to make a difference for the defense of individual rights!

We thank you before hand for your opinion and suggestions so that a solution is found!

In behalf of the Figueroa Family and many others whose rights are being affected ... Thanks for your Support!

We are Jose!

Hello!
My wife, my children and I would like to thank you all for the support you have been providing us during the many months we have been dealing with the deportation order issued by the Canadian Government.
Please check on this video which feasures a mural that we are working on within the context of the "We are Jose" Campaign. As we were working on the logistics for the celebration of the XIX Anniversary of the peace Agrement we came with the idea of creating a mural which would reflect as much as possible of what we have been under going for more that 13 years. since the legal fees to try resolve a problem generated by CBSA officers and have cause so much hardship to our family... We have no more resource but to count with the generosity... of canadians and not canadians who identifies with the problem and realize that this is a much broader issue... We are hoping to finish the mural before January 16th yet we would like to have it auctioned during the 14 days that we are expecting to run the We are Jose Campaign ....
I also would like to ask any artist who can volunteer part of their time to paint similar murals for different activities in conmemoration of the 19 anniversary of the peace agreement in El Salvador.... please get in touch with us through either means of communication.... wearejose@gmail.com ; or leave a note through the wearejose.webpress.com wesite (which will go live shortly) ...

If someone has a means on how to organize the auction of the mural we would appreaciate you let us know...
The whole Figueroa Family has been standing for the rights of not only the family but also the community who may be affected by a broad intepretation of the Law that is affecting people who have been victims of repressive governments...
I Would like to take advantage that you are reading this message to ask for your support during the next 14 days asking the minister of public Safety to hear our story and base his decision for the ministerial relief on the facts of the salvadoran reality....
Please keep in touch for more details on the Campaign
God Bless you All!
Figueroa Family....
